Long time ago we wrote about two great works by GRAFT: great colorful loft with unique wall structure and roof top loft in Berlin. Recently they have finished one more awesome modern loft in Hamburg. As GRAFT’s works it has truly unique interior design thanks to an unusual wall structure with an integrated furniture, storage places and built-in lights. There is also one more unforgettable object in this loft – freestanding centralized wood veneer kitchen that contains part of a bathroom and built-ins whose surfaces blend into the wall angles. This kitchen is truly the centerpiece of this loft design that would impress virtually anybody

Modern tableware from Non Sans Raison

We decorate our walls by photos, beautiful pictures and even by modern wall mount fireplaces. Although we usually forget about one very beautiful wall decoration, which was very popular some time ago – decorative wall plates. This 120 square meter loft is located on the top floor of the house in Piacenza, Italy and belongs to Romolo Stanco. The ground floor is 81 square meter while a first floor is 42 square meter. The white color is dominating around the floors and hightlights the shadows, the distances and the independent elements like chairs, a sofa, a table and other furniture. When you enter the home you see an open space that seeks a balance between the linearity imposed by the long, parallel main walls. The central table in structural glass (design Romolo Stanco for NIccolai), surrounded by Panton chairs (Verner Panton for Vitra) filters the living room open space in a quiet, understated way, also providing a counterpoint to the sofa. The loft area, which can only be reached by climbing the suspended dinosaur-back like stairs, is the relax-night zone. It is only separated from the living room by a glass that has the same function of theatrical wings.

This house is designed by Johnny Andersson while its interior by Jacob Walles of Jordens Arkitekter. It’s located in a newly built residential area in Täby, Sweden. The exterior of the house is designed in the way to make the interior looks exciting. The ceiling height various but is 250cm in average. Almost all ceilings are painted in bright colors – green on the ground floor to symbolize that is closer to the ground and blue on the top floor as it’s closer to the sky. There are five different types of flooring in the house, which in most cases would be likely to mess the impression. Although the materials blend with each other very well, so that even looks cool. There are also large glazings in the house with white drapes to protect the owner’s privacy. The house belongs to design and art lovers and their two children so there are a lot of nice decoration objects in there.

The Danish designer Nina Kejser and her Italian husband Mario Iadanza have made a home for themselves in the small town of Charlottenlund just north of Copenhagen. The couple met as teenagers in the small Italian ski resort of Limone Piemonte, where Mario’s family owned the best restaurant in town and where Nina had spent her holidays since childhood. The delicately decorated flat is bright, airy and comfy. White is the main color theme so modern furniture stands out and is very noticeable. The flat isn’t like other modern all-white spaces. Thanks to all that nicely chosen furniture, the wood floors and the plants it seems warm and livable. The flat is a rare example of how well different styles could blend.
